Natural swimming pools and ponds
What is a natural swimming pool?
A natural swimming pool is a body of water suitable for swimming, purified without the use of chemicals or UV rays. The water is treated and kept healthy solely through biochemical and mechanical processes.

Biopools: how they work
Water purification occurs through the synergistic action of plants, microorganisms, and substrates. The filter consists of a submerged planted area adjacent to the tank, where plants are rooted in gravel.
Here, a biological film (biofilm) forms, which is responsible for eliminating nutrients and pollutants.
Design and construction of natural lakes and natural swimming pools
PWe offer various solutions depending on your needs.

It is often possible to build pools and ponds that do not require any technological components.
We like to incorporate natural pools into an integrated and ecological water management design: for example, by creating rainwater collection basins to fill the pool, or by using existing waterways or stagnant pools on site.
The spirit with which we create natural swimming pools is to recreate a balanced natural ecosystem, where you can immerse yourself and relax, feeling part of it.

Unlike what one might think, the water in a well-designed natural pool is clear and odorless.
If well maintained and cared for, a natural swimming pool is a cool and relaxing place to enjoy all year round, because the water moderates temperatures and is an ideal habitat for various plant and animal species, such as frogs, newts, and small birds.
It will be like creating a small habitat in your own garden.
Which shape to choose for your natural swimming pool or natural pond
There are no limits when it comes to choosing the shape of your natural pool: from the most organic and natural shapes to more formal ones similar to conventional pools.
By way of example, we provide three main models here

Natural pond
An organic and natural shape: a bathing and regeneration area with irregular curves, recreating the appearance of a natural pond.
The use of concrete can be avoided. Suitable for areas with landscape restrictions.

Hybrid shape
Regular swimming area and irregular regeneration area.
A blend of tradition and nature. Also ideal for converting from a conventional pool to a natural pool.

Conventional swimming pool
Regular bathing and regeneration area. For those who love tradition.
Ideal for integration into formal architectural contexts. Also ideal for conversions of existing pools.
